Awesome - it is very enjoyable and you can think about it two ways - improve your scores with the gear you have for your own satisfaction . . . .or join the gear race and see if you can beat other...

Trigger time with like minded people is always good value, regardless of what rifle or calibre you use. I enjoy shooting with others for the extra eyes, the added knowledge , and the tips and advice...

FTR Classic medium and long range shooting is interesting. A maximum score is 61 10X which means at 600 yards all 10 counting shots have landed inside the 1/2 moa (3"diameter) ring. A score of 60...

I thought .257 Roberts would be a doddle but it turned into a bit of a challenge. Wasnt helped by the OAL of the Kimber Hunter mag which a clever (Jaco) gunsmith sorted for me.

Hit the hills the other day for a quick solo overnight fly camp mission before linking up with some mates the next morning. The weather was far too hot for my liking and reminded me why I go diving...

Yes I was thinking you really need to know what you are doing using the primer as indication of pressure.....headspace is the determinator of primer flattening as well as hot loads. Too much...

A method that I have found to be useful for rear locking actions is to measure. the length of the case over a series of firings of an individual case with a chosen load. If the case stretches (and it...

I pretty much ignore primers now, except if they're pierced. They can be softer or harder. And different brass is also softer or harder...if a I get a stiffish bolt I will try another brand of brass...

NZTopo50 is good. There was a thread about this recently. For pure navigation, I prefer iHike-GPS.

NZTopo50 is a very good app. Free version is good. You can choose either north or south island. New Zealand Topo Maps is fine too.
