The macpac was heaps better today after adjusting but yeah he will have to start doing some walking soon he’s not 2 yet so can’t expect too much, at least he enjoys getting out at this stage.

The 80gr ELDMs at 2800 out of a 223 seem to work fine for shoulder shots on reds and bulk tahr at close range so I can't imagine the 7mm 162s won't

That said, as hunters with an interest in participating in management, we should be looking to contribute to maintaining low numbers of females wherever and whenever possible.

No denying it, long range hunting is a hell of a discipline and skill when executed correctly. Hugely popular now with so many animals venturing into open country. Getting inside the comfort zone of...

As I understand it, in the future it will be sent for all new applications and renewals. I see issues arising from this and think there will be matters related to it that will eventually end up...

Oh but how could you possibly be killing deer with match bullets :ORLY:  In contrast to what many will say on Yankee forums and FB groups, 162 eld-m and the Amax before them have awesome...

Foot pounds of energy kills nothing. Velocity and pill construction however..... Important to decide if all the animals you shoot are so far away that you need the extra velocity - if that is the...

I've got 2 x 284 wins, a 17" and a 22". However.........I'm going to be sensible and say, for shooting deer to 500 yards max, just stay with what you have. A 162 eldm at 2630 fps is arriving at...

I've done this exercise many times in my App and also compared it to my 6.5 Creedmoor, I've come to the conclusion that unless i can push a 162 weight pill at 2950 -3000fps I'm gaining nothing over...

Don't waste your time. All the extra aggravation isn't worth it. If you wanting to shoot further probably best of buying a fancy scope and a kestrel for wind calling. That combo will still knock most...

I've had both and as above would recommend spending funds on what you have on glass or components a rechamber all adds up. A bigger caliber doesn't make you a better hunter/shooter. I wish I had of...
