Klhari liked post by Seventenths On thread : 6x45 Rem barrel
Well, finally took the plunge for a 6x45 of my own... taken 25 years to do it but I'm there. I first got keen on the cartridge after reading a Rod & Rifle magazine which planted a seed and then...

Klhari liked post by PaulNZ On thread : Walnut Stock Build
Thanks for the responses all. So looking through the gun cabinet my Anschutz 1717 .17hmr was chosen as the restocking victim candidate. I thought I had a picture of it in the original stock but...

Klhari liked post by Marty Henry On thread : Cratered Primer
I'd say it's normal an agressive firing pin spring, with good protrusion and a little clearence around it in the hole in the bolt face.

Greetings Charliehorse, A good question would be what was the velocity and was this in line with the ADI/ Hodgdon data. If it was then your pressures should match theirs reasonably well. The slight...

Klhari liked post by 2post On thread : refill your disposable canisters
Hi guys, I haven’t read though the whole thread but can I suggest you put the empty can in the freezer before filling. (Stuff moves from hot to cold) law of physics. And yes the full bottle needs to...

Just received this in the mail 39583 So now I can refill or top up half full canisters for my cooker straight from the LPG bottle. Just use a set of scales to know when it's full. Beats taking...

Klhari liked post by Max Headroom On thread : Is this normal for my brass
Charlie Horse, have a sneaking suspicion that line is the limit of the cold forging (pressing it into the correct shape) that your die exerts on the case. To prove or disprove this I suggest you...

Klhari liked post by Tentman On thread : Tinting epoxy
Graphite works, I've used it several times, I'd be inclined to use powdered stuff rather than liquid.

I think spraypaint might be risky, but worth a test at least. One stockmaker recommended lampblack (candle soot) as a good bedding pigment. Seems to be plenty of guidance on google on gathering it...

Klhari liked post by gundoc On thread : Sporterised Lee Enfields - accuracy ??
The best performance I have ever got from a sporterised SMLE was a vertically strung 5-shot group, 19mm x 36mm at 100 yards with late '50s CAC Mk VII ball (probably the best .303 ammo ever made). ...

Klhari liked post by Cigar On thread : Newbie reloader, questions on weight of powder
I do my case prep separately from reloading, meaning after each shooting session I get the cases to the point of being ready to reload, then store them for reloading later. After firing I: Inspect...

Klhari liked post by Cigar On thread : Do I have to crimp these?
Nope, no need to crimp for a bolt action. I always crimp for my lever action with a tube mag as I have had projectiles move further into the case from recoil or mag spring pressure.
