Had the same dilemma with my 375h&h, ended up going with a 3-9x40, covers all bases. Still low enough magnification to not be detrimental in the bush.

Yeah I did play with that, still not spectacular. Now a 1-8 twist and the 135gr pills would be worthwhile.

Very good projetile, consistent and reliable, shot over 150 deer with them, from 0-500m. Probably the best pill for 270 imo, does everything well.

It will only damage older shotguns that are not proofed for steel shot. A way to get around this is having the chokes opened up by a gunsmith, along with the forcing cones. Most modern shotguns...
