+1 on the PPU I purchased 3 cases/slabs/crates of this when it was branded Highland and was on special and cheaper than milsurp. Couldn't believe my luck - brass cased, copper jacketed PSP...

I've never lost an animal with the 7.62x39. I've lost a red spiker hit solidly with a .223, and for me, that was one too many. I personally find the 7.62x39 the perfect mix of stopping power...

There's some stuff that looks sort of like a figure 8 shape, it's used to make ute tailgates dust tight. That would work grand as you leave a gap for the seal to compress into and job done.

Nope I didn't miss it at all. I understand it completly. I don't agree with it, nor with how it was justified, but it is what we have and we abided by it

I think the key to these cartridges (and the 223 for that matter) is to limit your shots to not too much further than 200M - the energy put on target is just so much less than a big centrefire . . .

The 7.62x39 is I find really underrated in real world performance, I've never had any issues with it with dropping things - but also I'm not taking dodgy shots and a few inches offline for my shot...

I haven't hunted first hand with the 6.5 Grendel but compared to the .223 it has better muzzle energy, better BC, better sectional density. The Grendel typically has 20% more muzzle energy than...

I took some wool into Taieri Wool & Skins yesterday, I asked the fella there about possum fur. He said they're paying $90/kg for hand plucked, but he reckoned machine plucked isn't worth anything at...

That would be $5900 dollars in the bottom off that dingy for a couple hours work which would suit me just fine. However we have a quota system here in NZ. A generation back maximum take was set for...

Unfortunately the xray cant tell the difference between lead and copper, so what we are looking at could be a mixture of both, however looking at the projectile i took from the animal, i would have...

I would imagine a sst projectile would have a much higher chance of spreading parts of projectile further throughout the body of the animal compared to the likes of an eldm/x or interloc/corelokt etc...

100% Correct. Much of the information spread on the www is mischievous. The risk is highly exagerated. If you eat it almost daily or every week it may well be an issue. Particularly for children. But...
