7x would be ok for hunting ants at about 4-5 metres. On 35x you’d struggle to hit one in the vitals past like 15 I guess

Why don’t you just sight it in at 200m , that will tell you exactly how high it should be at 100m for the ammo/ballistics your using .

It should go real good. I have used the 22-250 with a 50 grain GMX mono on a number of reds and it was like a lightning bolt! I imagine your load will be even better

the downside is it is very snappy recoil, it becomes a bit hard to shoot plus long needs to be thick so it is more rigid I like lightweight rifles but man Im finding my 7mm08 kimber exponetially...
