Shot a pair of reds with the 178 eldx from my wsm. 2900 mv. About 100m and 200m. 200m in the crease blew chunks of lung out the far side and it ran about 40m. The one at 100m was a hilar shot causing...

Hornady offer the same bullet in loaded 6.5 Creedmoor ammo. It might need that extra bit of speed to get it to start fragmenting, as underneath the jacket and tip is meant to be just a flat meplat of...

I wouldn't read too much into it if it was a 350m sitting shot.

My two favourite projectiles have been 107 tmk's and 100gr nosler bt's. Dabbled with heavier. But even with a longer barrel, the BC of 123 and 130 elds didn't make up for the much lower muzzle...

You're nearly 3 full grains under Hodgdon's maximum load for a 77gr SMK and Varget (same powder). No wonder it is underwhelming :)

Stock them at work and am using a few myself. Yes the glass is good. The 2.5-15x44 Centuri is meant to weigh 650g. Feel free to flick me a message or give me a shout on Monday.

I'd actually trust Speer over Hornady in this instance. Particularly with the software also suggesting that it's over-pressure. Hornady aren't always super conservative.
