    Others who have used that tanning system will know better. I would take an orbital sander to it and thin any thick spots and make it uniform as possible and then try more oil and breaking

    Thanks mate I've done a few now and have found a cheap water blaster is the best and quickest way to clean them up, if you don't mind snotty sinew flying all over the place

    I've been interested in the "higher end" Remmy 22s for at least 20 years and I've not seen a 40x based 22 for sale in NZ. The 541s come up occasionally but that's about it as far as I can tell . . ....
