Some of you guys are getting good speed, I'm getting 2750 with factory ammo 143eldx chopped to 20 inch, I've shot 7 deer so far this month and I gotta say it kills bloody good at that speed, the...

Well some may think these loads are way too hot. In the rifles i have had and load for there is no pressure signs, all my Tikka rifles run long mags and bolt stops and are seated long. Cases are...

With my 20" 2875 fps with most powders and 140 grn seems the upper comfortable limit. If you want comfortable extra speed drop a bullet weight. I'm 3140 fps with a 124 Hammer. N565 powder.

Re the original topic, if you do get it going faster, i think it would be wise to have a different load for closer ranges. Just going off what i have experienced with the 143gr eldx at 2600fps out of...

ELDX are the purpose built hunting bullet. I exclusively use them, love them and they are an inherently accurate. They wouldn’t be my first choice for bush shooting, if I shot mainly under...

I haven't had the 143 eldx fail at close range in my 18" barreled 6.5prc yet. One close shot at a sika stag at 20m that was wounded from a failed 123gr sst @2900fps, which I think hit brush before...

Load the 143, go hunting, see how they go. If you don't like them, try something else. Trial and error, enjoy the process I'm currently having 129LRAB loaded for my PRC, will see how they go

Don't throw away your Noslars but don't be worried about the 6.5 ELDX they are a very good bullet. We use them in a 260 and 6.5 x 55 with great effect. We have recovered a few from various deer one...

I managed to get 35 rounds down my 22" tikka on its first outing. It was sitting around 2750fps with good groups using Norma 143gr Bondstrike. Once I get through the factory ammo I'll get some loads...
