    The only way 1080 will ever work is blanketing the entire country(which we can't) every year and that still won't kill all pests. Trapping(including self resetting) is a good option....

    My family used to breed Rabbits commercially up until the first virus release. We slaughtered up to 600 a month, mostly for the pelts but the meat bought in good $$$ too, we only sold domestically...

    having now shot more than 10k rabbits around banks peninsula (out of christchurch for you norther types) i can safely say that rcd (calici) is horrid way to kill a rabbit. coagulation till heart...
