can't answer the sound issue but if it did you could always re fill with expanding foam, surely that would be lighter than the goo and deaden any hollow sound a bit ?

Yeah I was gutted when they went vegan. Their Alaskan Salmon was pretty darn tasty and their lamb one was too. I liked how you needed a lot less water to rehydrate them vs other brands, so were good...
