About uk_exile
Biography:
I'm not british. Its a username only! I'm a kiwi, born here, lived here 29yrs then due to work moved to UK late 1990s. Returned to NZ 2003. It was while working in UK that I chose my online username for all online stuff and have kept it ever since. It's not because of any connections or loyalty to UK. Have never need back to UK since 2003 and hope I never need to except maybe as part of an european holiday sometime in future. Can't say I hated it but certainly disliked the lack of freedom & was just there for work.

That was a good show last night , some very nice stags shot, and the young fellas taking several one a nice 8 pointer. Fiona's second 8 was a cracker. Great show keep them coming.

As a SAR member I don't want to be called out but if it happens I will respond, as a new hunter I want to go out and fill the freezer but I won't.

You will find the red line easier, and there may even be a new deer fence to walk beside. And theres bugger all water in PH Stream right now so your feet will more than likely stay dry.

Its much easier to just park up at the old Seventh Day Adventist Lodge, walk up Pudding hill Stream and then pick an appropriate ridge. A number of those ridges lead right to the top ridge without...

Have you ever tried digging out a wee hole for your hip to fit in then putting sleeping mat on top? Sometimes I'll do one for my shoulder too. A trick an old scout leader showed me when I was a kid. ...

Bivouac are meant to be having a sale starting friday. Their mats are not when on sale. I have exped and like them.

Torpedo 7 have a really good inflatable. I compared a mates one to my Thermorest and the inflatable is better and packs down better. $62 when they run a special - I now have a surplus Thermorest.

Can get Coleman inflatables for $39:99 ( or could). Google Equip Outdoors. I’ve used one and it’s not bad for the money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I waited for a good sale and bought an Exped for the price of a cheaper mat (though I guess you can get cheaper mats on sale even cheaper).
