Good to know you like the lefty mate, think that's the way i'll go too.
Yeah, those Tikka T3x in left hook look like a good bit of kit! Cheers mate, think i'll need to give both left handed and right handed bolts a try before I buy.
Haha I would if I could mate! My right eye can't focus for shit unfortunately.
Those 308 BLR's look mint. Enjoy mate, thanks for the response!
Yeah mate, I've always shot left handed but never had much experience with bolt action rifles so figure it's better to start on one orientation and stick to it just to build that muscle memory...
I've got a lazy right eye that's weak as piss so no other option than to shoot lefty unfortunately. As I've only shot a bolt action a handful of times just thought it'd be good learn on one...
Hi team,
Left eye dominant/left handed shooters, is it worth getting a lefty bolt action or just make do with the right handers?
I'm left eye dominant/right handed so shoot my bow, .22 and...
Hi WillB thanks mate, I just snagged a deal today so am now sorted! All the best
Most likely a large mate, 5'11 85kg ish. I'll have a browse and see if I can find it
G'day fellas.
Looking for a new wet weather jacket (can't afford Swazi atm!) what would you recommend under $350?
I've heard the new HE gear isn't half bad and few sales on atm, also how...
Halo looks the goods, buy it and let me know how it is! Haha
Mate I'm digging the new HE stuff. They quite often have some decent kit in their clearance section on website. I just grabbed a Toa bush shirt and a mid layer fleece a couple of weeks ago. Quality...
Cheers mate, I haven't locked at Kaiwaka yet, will have a browse!
Heyo,
Anyone have any experience with Bushbuck Defender range? The pants look pretty good for general farm/hunt wet weather.
Have had a good experience with all my other Bushbuck gear but don't...
Thanks for the input guys, both the Brownings and the Marlin look pretty bloody good to me. Sounds like henry is a no go! Will have to see what pops up after lockdown.
Bloody good looking bit of kit that. Cheers mate, will save the pennies!
Howdy, any one got any experience with lever action 22s or .17hmrs?
Look like fun little tinkering/pest guns and bit more fun that the standard 10/22.
Realistically looking at the Henry .22 or...
Thanks Mimms2, appreciate the input mate! Will be grabbing a bigger calibre for a deer rifle eventually, no doubt will end up with a few in the safe just thinking as a solid pest gun. Sounds like...
Realistically just a few gadgetman. Will just be factory ammo at this stage. Cheers mate!
Starting to sound like I need one of each!
Good info coming in, cheers all!
Had a chat with Dave Shooter ready before the lockdown, hell of a nice dude! Think he's sold me on a 6.5 Creedmoor for the bigger stuff so just needing a pest gun now
Cheers for the wisdom guys- nothing bigger than Hares really, the odd wild cat roams about too so .223 may be an overkill. Sounds like .17 should be the ticket
Hey team,
New to the forum but looking for some opinions on the best rifle/calibre for pest control on the family farm. Mainly hares, rabbits, magpies etc. Rolling land + flats. Recommendations...
