Should sell for about $450
You don't think it's ethically right to shoot a rabbit at more than 75m with a .22....yet you shot a deer with it :wtfsmilie:
Did you walk up to the deer and stick the barrel into it's ear hole?...
CRC Brakleen is a great solvent for many things including firearms. Great down the bore as well as it cleans out the carbon and lead buildup...just doesn't work on the copper residue.
ATF is also...
Hit it with some Sweets 7.62...those little pills are sure to leave a copper trail.
Dude I had that back in 1992. Sold it in 1995.
They no longer make them I think....or at least the importer of them into NZ reckons he can't get anymore.
Sad but true #Gun Snob
Yeah there's just not enough heat to wear out the bbl in front of the chamber. High velocity yes...but how many grains of powder in that little case 5g?
I guess the barrel would outlive most 17hmr...
I thought it would have been in the 10,000s, not the 1000s (if cleaned of copper every 1000 rounds).
Yeah, I used to have one of those semi things (somedays semi-hot...somedays semi-cold), but it made this horrible screeching noise in my ear.
So I divorced her and bought myself a bolt action....
I've got the stock left and that's it...but am thinking of making a crossbow out of it for my nephew.
Yeah I 'dealt' to it with my grinder and a brand new diamond cutting wheel, that was just...
Maybe, but I used to clean the actions after every 2 boxes of ammo (approx every 100 rounds).
This is how I used to clean my semi-auto .22s:
1 - take the barreled action out of the stock
2 -...
'Double-tap'...Nah it was Triple tap!
The bloody thing was firing 3 shots in 1 second, then touch the trigger again and another 3 shots in 1 sec.
Felt like I had an M16 in three-round burst mode...
No more bloody semi-auto .22s for me. From now on it is bolt-actions all the way!
I even brought a single shot .22 the other day after my old POS Stirling model 20p turned 3 shot auto on me. :omg:...
Not sure why your gunsmith thinks the 284 won't feed well....it will.
For both the 284 and 280ai a 24" barrel is absolutely fine.
From memory (might pay to check), the 280ai holds about 5 grains...
Yeah, the M77 action was based on the Mauser ’98 action and the pre-64 Winchester action.
Designed to compete directly with the Winchester Model 70 and Remington Model 700 in 1968, with the two 7s...
Yes I was using the Kahles 6x42 with the Nosler 100 grain BTs - using the MPBR method as I didn't have a range-finder (100g BT gave a nice flat trajectory).
However, now that I purchased a...
What made you purchase the Tang Safety M77 in 25-06 Micky Duck? Did you read about it in a magazine...or was it a gun store salesperson recommendation?
This is the second tang safety M77 in 25-06...
Since you tested the scope on two other rifles with two other rings it sounds like a bent scope tube which you can test like MD said.
Another way to test at home is to roll the scope along a desk....
Yeah I think it's timed out in regards to deleting it now...doesn't matter as at least you have got your 'Wanted to Buy' thread in the right section to get the most amount of views.

Forgot to mention that the rifle is an original tang safety Ruger M77 in 25-06.
Scope on before photos is a Kahles Helia S 6x42 and on after photos is a USA made Weaver Micro-Trac T16x
Finally got round to removing the scratched up and battered polyurethane coating on the stock of my Ruger M77.
Sanded it all off with my orbital sander using 220 grit. Many recommend the use of a...
Damn....I was too slow, as they sold out of their '66mm Rocket Launcher' :D
I suspect there are individual stores who would like to lower their prices to be competitive, but can't due to the terms of the franchise agreement (prices set by Hunting and Fishing NZ Ltd head...
