    Firearms Licence Renewal

    Hi All,

I’m going to apply for the renewal of my firearms licence in the new year. When paying the fee, if you are renewing and you have endorsements... do you you just pay the $126.50 for renewal or do you also have to pay for the endorsement fee again of $204.00?

Also, how long are renewals taking on average at the moment?

    Thanks,
    Ollie

Took mine about 1¹/²-2 weeks but I dont have any extras. More of a hassle when he came out for the inspection.

If you renew your licence before it expires, you only pay for the cost of the licence renewal. If your licence expires, your endorsements do too and you'll need to reapply for them.

Ummmmmmmmmm Probably silly question, but seeing that you have so precisely organised you death, is there really any need for a FAL renewal?

    They are not transferable.

Hahaha! I don’t expire... but my FAL does... I’m still hoping for another 50years or 5 licences (10 if out current direction of legislatory reform continues!).

I think that is changing in the latest bill, but it's not law yet.

That was the reason I applied for mine before it expired next year, was worried they would change length and the way we renew/apply for FAL.
