The bullets are usually sized to match this larger diameter.

Same thing with 6.5cal. The bore size is 0.255" to 0.256" (6.5mm) and the groove diameter is 0.264" .

    Does that explain it ok?

On the way home from picking up a sick daughter from school I suggested we stop at the range to see how my Tikka was shooting. So set up a target at 100mtrs and fired 2 shots, I had only had brought 3 bullets with me as I had intended to have a quick looksee for a pig that has been hanging around the lambing paddocks. I suggested to the Daughter (16yrs) to have a shot with the last bullet. I'm happy with that result, we only had a pac for a rest. Pity I hadn't taken a couple of more bullets and tweeked it to the right 6clicks.

It appears to be zeroed two inches to the left of centre.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rushy, that is "built in lead" for those "right to left running shots"

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

No need for any more bullets. Two MOA right will bring you on or if your scope adjusts in mils then 0.6 right will be there or there abouts smack on.

So many Tikka owners seem to think their rifles are something special rather than just decent middle of the road, makes easy bait. Tikka owners on internet forums anyway, the ones I know in the real world are a bit more reasonable about them.

No scope adjustments needed, just shoot the rifle lying on it's side...tip it to the right for zero at 300 metres and tip to the left for under 50 metre shots.

Nah - just rotate your target 90deg to your right.
    Now you're shooting 2in high - which isn't a bad thing.

    You're welcome
