Its like how the Australian government managed to avoid becoming a republic.

    The 'referendum' question read

option 1: I agree that Australia should become a republic AND that the government should say sorry to the Aborigines (thus opening untold floodgates of liability to the taxpayers)

There are plenty of people who fill their freezers with dirty old 303s and Norincos, doesn't mean those rifles are anything great either.

I really shouldn't bite, but whatever.

I'm definitely a huge Tikka fan, not because I'm a fan boy that think they are the bestest rifle bar none in the world.
But what you get for the price makes them very good value for money.
If I had lots of money to spend on rifles I'd only by Anschutz and Sako rifles, but as I don't have money coming out my ears I will stick with and be very happy with my Tikka's.

Wonder why folk will poke fun at Tikkas as a gun someone buys if they can't afford a Sako, but wont say the same about CZ/Brnos for folk who can't afford an Anschutz (which is why I have a CZ 17hmr).

Its all poos what works for everyone is great. If it shoots straight and freezers are full all good no matter what calibre or make.

I've never seen them do anything better (some things worse) than a Savage, Howa, Rem700 etc which can often be bought cheaper. Doesn't make the Tikka look particularly good value to me?

Obviously if the Tikka fits you best in that price range its the best choice for you though, personal fit and feel should be the main factor.
