Thread: 6mm ARC (and it's cousins) load data

Tried some ladders this arvo, wind was piping, making shooting OWC groups too much of a lottery.

All with 103 EldXs in Starline brass with Fed 205s COL of 59.5

Started with H4895/2206H 0.3 gn increments - went from 25.8 for 2428 to 27.0 for 2544. Nil pressure signs
Next was Varget/2208 - went from 27.1 for 2510 to 28.3 for 2645. No room for any more powder without special measures.
Last was 8208 - went from 26.3 for 2564 to 27.5 for 2650. Nilly pressure signs and a good group despite it being a ladder. So I loaded up 3 more steps, 27.8 gave 2726, 28.1 was 2801 and 28.4 was 2824, last two had quite a big poi shift but no ejector swipes. Primers starting to indicate that the limit isnt far off. At 2800 GRT says I'm in the vicinity of 65,000 psi at the velocity I'm getting for powder input.

I'm gonna load up some further test rounds in the 28.0 area and see if they have reasonable ES, and then play with seating depth.

If I can end up with 103/104s at 2750 ish I'd be real happy.
