    Custom cartridges

    Hey team,
Has anyone used mark at custom cartridges before? I'm thinking about getting a load made up for my rifle but don't have the time or gear.
If anyone has used him before, how did you find the process?

I know its probably cheating by getting someone else to do it.

    Any info or recommendations

    Cheers bevan

Several years ago I had Mark make up some .375 H&H and .470 NE ammo for me as I had neither components nor loading tools. The ammo wasn't as good as handloads I might have developed myself but it was very acceptable and did the job it was wanted for. It's unlikely Mark will devote as much time to making a load as you might yourself but likely has some proven formulas he uses for the particular rifle you shoot. Make sure you discuss this with Mark. While I always work up my own loads if I was in a real bind I would definitely consider turning to Mark again. He is good to deal with.

Certainly not cheating mate everybody deserves to be able to get the best out of their rifles and a lot of us are very time poor my reloding journey started with a guy down south loading for me.

I had Mark load me up a heap of bullets for my .284 when I had trouble finding components- he didn't have the rifle in hand but I gave him all the info I had available to me and he loaded me up 50 rounds similar to what another customers rifle liked. They shoot awesome. He is very easy to deal with from my experience.

What are you reloading for? You are not far from me, if I have the dies etc I could do it, you could learn?

If you dont go with mark, I have a mate that is very very thorough in load dev and he has just started up a small company that does loads for mainly precision comp type guys. (He'd need your rifle for development). he runs the highest end reloading gear but may not have the dies you require.

I would rate marks ammo for general hunting but not so much for precision at longer distances if that is your intention (from personal experience)

Flick me a message if youre interested anyway
