Those 6 rounds got an average of 3673 fps with an ES of 9. About a 0.7" group.

One bullet was seated about 10 thou deeper than the others. And yes, the cases do come out slightly different lengths from fireforming. And my preference is to leave the necks as long as possible. So the shorter ones still need to grow out a touch. And that might take a while since AI cases hardly stretch... But whatever. It doesn't seem to care.

A friend used I think, 120gr Hammers in a 6.5 x 65 RWS with very disappointing results on game, well fallow anyway, so I do hope these lighter ones do well

I have used 6.5 124 Hammer Hunters out of a PRC at 3140 fps and they have been devastating on everything. Fallow and Reds. 116grn .270 @ 3,450 are double devastating.

I'm keen to hear how the above CM and Ackley Absolutes go.

Granted ordinary copper and lead bullets are almost always up to the job... but these things are FUN. Even if it is akin to burning money

My comments are from a friend using them about 6-7 years ago, so things / designs / performance change. If the problems are sorted I would prefer to use a copper bullet myself to be honest

Projectiles are the cheapest part of a hunt, even the most expensive hunting ones are cheaper than a decent cup of coffee

Im yet to use them on animals hopefully will get a chance in the next couple of weeks, but im already impressed with what im seeing. Albeit it is a 97gr projectile, light for calibre, Knocking on 3500fps from a "needs more" tikka that supposedly have slow barrels & using plain old 2206h not some impossible to find fairy dust powder, I think thats pretty cool.

It should go real good. I have used the 22-250 with a 50 grain GMX mono on a number of reds and it was like a lightning bolt! I imagine your load will be even better

dont get me wrong it should be a great killer of game...have always thought a 70-80grn mono would make the old EBRG really shine

so in effect your running a 308/243 powder charge with a lightweight .243 payload....... except its fatter than the 243 and skinnier than the 308 either of those cartridges would poke out similar speeds given same payload and powder charge I would have thought....
