    New powder time

    Hey guys
Well Im down to my last few rounds of H4350 in my 7x57.
Here in the Europe you cant get any as they have change a rule somewhere.
So I have some N555 that Ive been using to help a guy load his Manbun 6.5CM
Anyway I put this put my rifles dimentions etc into Gordans relaoding tool and bullets that I use and it looks almost identical.
I see that most guys are using N150.
But I think I might try working up some loads of this N555 as it has very similar burn rates to my old powder.
    What say you?
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

I dont like 4350 as it doesn't fill a case very well and burns hot and fast so changing might be a blessing. I dont know what the burn temp for N555 is but someone will have a link to powder burn temps.

Thanks Moa. I was getting really good groups with this so bit sad to see it go.
48g gave me a clover leaf at 100 which still held if I could at 200.

Norma URP works pretty good in rounds that you would normally run on 2209/H4350 mate i used it a bit to help a mate and it was actually nice and predictable.
If you can't kill it with bullets, dont f*ck with it.

It works well in most cases that use 2209 or H4350 and give better speed

That's very load dependent might be true in a 270 but in a 7mm08 that's hardly the case. The 7x57 is probably somewhat between the 2.
@NewbieZAR what powders can you get now.

lol as I said in the first post the rules have changed over here. So cant get a lot of those powders.

Ive nailed it down to 3.
What do you recon from this list which should I go with first??

N550 Barnes 120g TSXT BT @45.5gr its coming out at 2805ft/s warning signs not showing till 49gr and low burn rate at 44.5gr
So theres a nice copper option.
With this I can use up the last of my 139g SST. They show at 47gr warning, at 46gr they come out at 2821ft/s
Last my boar load 160g partions show. 44.5gr warning. 44gr they come out at 2455ft/s

    N555 data
The Barnes 120's TSXT giveing me low burn rates and warning's across the range.
The sst 49.5gr Warning. 48.5 they come out at 2761ft/s
The partions 47gr Warning. 46.5gr they come out at 2409ft/s

Also ran the N150 which are as follows.
Partions 42gr Warning. 41.5 they come out at 2331ft/s
SST 44gr Warning. 43gr they come out at 2710ft/s
Barnes 45.5gr Warning. 44gr they come out at 2956ft/s

They burn pretty hot on the table above - even hotter than 4350. Hard on cases / throat ?

@Sideshow. I really rate the Norma powders, which I assume you can source. My " go to" for my 7 x 57 is N204. Consistent for me with 140 to 150 grn projectiles. Just FYI.
