You’ve been busy, some impressive shooting!
.223 country. Where we were last evening
Not public land sorry, so add some demerit points![]()
Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.
Looks like good growth in the paddocks
It's not all of them, but it's always them.
Add some points, its nice country and green.
Add more still cause you still have scars healing. Add a few more cause Bella thinks it's a good idea.

Shot a deer off the elephants head looking point to the right below me and walked to the middle high point on the tree edge to find it. Ended up grovelling in the creek behind the knob and came out in the gully to the right. Took it quietly. Walking pole is good. The risk is damaging my split sternum so need to take it quietly for a wee while yet. Am using a large bum bag with shoulder straps that loads the weight onto my hips and doesn't pull back on my shoulders. Works good with a couple of back straps aboard and could have probably carried a shoulder too.

Yes walking poles are gold for descending slowly... The longer the better.

Looks like a good spot! Take it easy I’m sure a split sternum is not something you want to happen again in a hurry!!
Just got back from a trip with the 223. Drilled 26 goats and shot this yearling at 441m from the valley floor on the other side of the river. Held 1.2 mil for wind, dialled 2.5 mil elevation on a 24 degree uphill and the 75gr ELD-M did the job still had 1890 fps and 580 f/lb impact energy. The same energy as a 55gr projectile at 200m.
