    eastern Kaimanawas advice for new bow hunter

    looking at 4 days camping at urchin in 2 weeks.

    I am a new bow hunter seeking advice for that area. Is it a good spot? any hunting advice etc?

    That's the western kaimanawas, not eastern.
    I wouldn't travel too far looking for deer, cullers are working the other side of the Waipakihi valley so best to concentrate on bush-stalking the closer country.
    Search "urchin" and "umukarikari" on the forum and you will get some good info (I did this a couple of days ago).

    Hunt your feet first - have shot sika within 5 minutes of urchin carpark. They are low down atm
    Was BINGO the name of the farmer or the dog?
