Thanks @
25 /08 IMP but l am lucky to have my hands full on the farm doing the same .We run cattle & sheep on our farm ,so eat all our own home butchered meat, that l do Over-Landed in the paddock ,chewing a mouthful of grass is the last thing our beef & lamb for the plate knows.
I am also lucky enough to have a couple of Deer hunting properties that have me hunting under a hour from our farm gate, one with good numbers of Fallow,we usually eat Fallow for our Venison dishes & the rest is used for our Salami , Sausage & smoked goods, which l have a couple of German mates who are right into it & for the last couple of years l have been well caught up in the bug/enjoyment of making it,so much l have changed the plans on the new Man Cave /Workshop & are having them drawn up to incorporate a smoking/dry goods room, to go along with the farms old chiller/ cold room .
Beast l Over-Landed & butchered a couple of weeks ago to donate to local Flood/storm damage victims & White Fallow Stag from around the same time ,the property owner asked me to take as they had unsuccessfully hunted it the last couple of years & wanted it gone before it brought unwanted attention.
Donated Flood/storm victims beast a couple of weeks ago ,all done on the farm just me & the missus.

So as l say anyone taking up the hunt will be getting some good freezer fillers, great meals & a good deal on a unusual Kiwi hunting experience .
