Thread: Hunting the Cobb

Hi all
Just back from another unsuccessful although very enjoyable one nighter up the Cobb. It’s getting dosed in a week or so and it makes me feel a little better shooting one if I know it was going to have to play 1080 roulette anyway.
It’s not a place I go to often now as feel guilty leaving the hound behind but have got a couple in the past on the flats past Chaffeys Hut but I just haven’t seen that many in my trips.
Tbh probably won’t be going back anytime soon due the 1080 (seems to get hit fairly regularly) and also want to start exploring more areas but I am curious if anyone has much success there?
Also is the bush edge on the far side of the dam any good? Had thought of taking my kayak if I ever go again.
Like I said just curious to hear other’s experiences (pm if you’d like)

I often hear numbers are low in that area and as you say its getting hit with green on a fairly regular basis. I haven't hunted there myself but have thought about it.

The Fallow population in there has had a really hard time over the last 15 or so years.
I personally would only shoot Fallow with a camera.
