talk to DOC Taranaki - find out where the Goat Contractors have been - Both Moki and Rerekapa were getting regularly hunted by DOC for goats - the areas that did not receive any goat culling were Tarere in south Taranaki big area and Meremere track good access and would be fine for a bike - holds good numbers of goats and the odd fallow - old Wangamomona Road - lots of country also fine for a bike but is regularly visited -but again usually good goat population -
