It all depends on how much you want to carry.

Chuck the two minute noodles aside and get yourself some Mi Goreng noodles, they are superior. I tend to add egg, pea's, chopped sausage/sizzlers and/or shaved ham.. makes a basic but good meal.

Pasta meals that you can add shit too (sausages/peas)
Raro + aqua tabs - Always good for energy
    Drinking choc mix - evenings.
    Peanut slabs, crackers, bread/buns
For a couple of nights, I just take up and go for breakfast.

I've also got some heat and eat meals from a mate who works at Prepared Foods Processing Ltd in Palmerston.

I'm not exactly a light packer, I enjoy my food.

Just a few quick idea's off the top from our family tramping holidays
Take a chux multicloth as a towel - lightweight easy to rinse out
We would package our meals into daily requirements
No cans or packaging - as keeping weight down is important
Breakfast - porridge / cut up and add dates for variety
Lunches - Hard cheese, salami & cabin bread - cup of soup

Of late on day hunts I have enjoyed a can of corned beef on crackers / thermos of soup also goes down well.
Tea - Rice / pasta based meals - prepacked sachet meals ex supermarket
    Tea bags / milk powder
    Powerade
