I ran into this a while ago, one of his "brothers of bubu" that often hunts with him. Not surprising that some of the long shots end up in the guts.

I guess no one’s perfect. He’s out there doing it in front of the world and showing his mistakes which a lot don’t (maybe he shouldn’t).
He puts a heap of effort in to get the meat out and his animal welfare is a hell of a lot better than 1080. Is every shot a culler takes ethical???

I watched a few of his YouTube videos last night after seeing this post. They aren't really my style personally, but I can't see what the problem is.

He's running a YouTube channel, of course he's going to shout out his sponsors who help fund it.

He and his mates seem to do a much better job than most hunters at visually inspecting each other's rifles to ensure they are safe. Good on them.

They are shooting at long range and for the most part seem to be quite accurate. He did make a shot that looked like it hit the guts, but can all of us say we've never accidentally misplaced a shot? I can't, but my f-ups aren't on YouTube for everyone to judge.

The fact that more than one guy shoots at the animal is probably a good safety net that dramatically decreases the chance of an unethical kill given the long ranges.

Not so good for the anti hunting community to see wounded animals. But at the end of the day it’s not like he’s “having a crack”. Apart from the odd wind call that goes a muck, his dope is pretty on point. I’m pretty sure they shoot on the count of 3 so he can back up his mates who are less experienced shooters than he, a lot of the time his mates miss and he doesn’t. The only thing I don’t like is the 30 cal at those distances in the wind. A 7mm would have less deflection, less holding way off the animal in windy situations…

I think alot of people see footage like this and go out and buy a setup from the shop ready to dial with ammo and go out and do terrible things to deer at range
But this 100% isn't rogee he's well expirienced and we'll practiced and does a pretty good job most of the time, no ones perfect
I'm learning the ins and outs of long range shooting and put 100s of rounds down range and shoot weekly at animals and targets, I think as long as people practice and don't overextend there abilitys on animals this style of hunting is fine and is alright to put up on youtube

I too just watched the Thar trip to see what it’s all about.
In terms of content, what you like and don’t like. The previous posts here reinforce my view. It’s subjective.

What I really disliked however was the advertising, every 3 min and fu*king Fresh Choice adds, or some other shit.
I didn’t finish it because I got sick of the interruptions. Not sure if it’s YouTube and the fact I won’t pay for the premium version?
Or he’s making a cut on the adds. Haven’t noticed it with other hunting video I watch. Won’t be watching any more.

I don’t get it with other YT content, so I have to assume there is some form of commercial arrangement whereby he’s getting $$

Like his vids and approach or not he has got the long range stuff pretty well dial'd. Looks like he has got good routines and his miss/stuff up rate is probably way less than the majority of long range shooters who just don't happen to make warts and all public videos. You don't have to like his videos or approach or him to acknowledge that he has some skills and determination.

I have to disagree with that Tahr, nothing personal against the guy, but he doesn't seem to have any long range skills, I believe if he did he wouldn't take half those shots.
I don't agree with the I might get it I'm going to send it approach.
If any hunter has regular stuff ups that bad in killing cleanly they should perhaps find another hobby.
Maybe there's a few videos up snee road you should have a look at.

Ive only seen one muffed shot - the one down south - maybe I need to look at some more. Have seen a couple at Snee road - that makes me sad because its turned the place into a fair ground.

What is the actual purpose of this thread - apart from a public mocking?
Its not what I like to see on the forum.

You too could always hide the negative comments in your online portrayal... if you so needed to
