The best was the CCI HP 1050fps with 10 shot groups of 2.5" and 2.3" so that's going to be ok to shoot Kerry's match next weekend. The CCI Solids were ok at 2.5" for one group and bigger for the other and the Euro-Trash much worse again.

The trigger is terrible so I might give that a polish up and call it quits. Being between jobs at the moment another firearm is not on the horizon.

You are tending to get vertical stringing, so I would suggest that this is either velocity variation (ammo quality) or possibly fore end pressure variation. Are you shooting the rifle using a bipod of bags for the accuracy test? Those Hogue shocks are very flexible, plus you have a synthetic action so when shooting, imagine you gun to be a pool noodle (all whippy and flexible) and make sure that you are not putting any additional stress into the system as you make the shot (eg twisting of screwing the gun on the bipod or bags in order to get the scope on target).

One cheap mod to consider is head spacing it. There is an article on Rimfire Central on how to do this.
