Thread: . 260 or 6.5 Creedmoor for a Model 7 build

I've got a model 7 which I'm going to rebarrel, I want to fit a 1 in 8 twist barrel and push 140ish grain pills, I understand the 260 has more powder capacity but being quite a short action the Creedmoor let's you seat projectiles out a bit further given the same overall length. Has anyone got any experience on this, do the 6.5mm 140 grain pills make things awkward for loading the 260, or is it still worth it for the extra room for powder even if some of it is lost seating the long pills in deeper? I also like the idea of being able to form 260 brass from 243 or 7mm08 if need be, even though I'll probably stick with store bought brass.
