    Got my T3 284 OAL with 162 Amax at 77mm Chamber measured 77.4 mm 316 reamer

    My tikka .284 has oal of 80 mm use the L mag and bolt stop

    Does the double stack rem mag feed the 284 alright mate? Robbie Tiffen told me a couple of years ago that id struggle to get it too when i was looking at doing a 700 284. Im picking it works fine with a bit of tweaking.

    The 284 can be loaded to fit into a short action, but you end up losing case capacity and the ability to seat close to lands which may limit your accuracy potential.

    Life would be easier if you can just use a long action.
