Thread: Bolt action AR15 upper

We need clarity on where an AR15 lower sits in all this.

One of the things I liked about the platform was the versatility of being able to switch out out uppers and barrels and handguards, triggers etc irrespective of semi auto function.

I'd like to know if it is ok to permanently block off the gas port on an AR barrel and use it in a bolt or pump action platform. It would be silly to have to hand in a brand new $600 barrel for $400.
