@ Sideshow, awesome looking stock mate, amazing grain, be more than I paid for the rifle.
@ Northdude, cheers I am looking forward to the 222, a bit legendary in NZ and bench rest circles I hear.
@ Mick Hunter , yeah a bit different which is nice.
The last owner rang me today, it was a Deer Culler's rifle originally, I don't know who as he got it second hand off TM 6-7 yrs ago. The barrel was flogged out so he put the stainless barrel on it. Robbie Tiffen did the work and the new barrel has only had 3-4 boxes through it. He traded it in on larger calibre for Thar and longer shots.
Apparently accurate with him head shooting Goats at 100 mtrs plus, guess we shall see in the up coming weekends when time and weather allow.
The checkering shows a little wear from carrying but still good, small scraps and dings but nothing bad, the thing I noticed is the BSA rubber butt pad still has all ( 90% ) of the dimples in it, so isn't makes me wonder that it's being well looked after.
