    Not flavour of the month and takes a bit of a ribbing but ,in the end, the old 270 shoots pretty staight, hits pretty hard and you can buy ammo everywhere.

    270 if there is a possibility of going after bigger, tougher game....25-06 if emphasis would be on deer...then going smaller...like goats and varmints...my .02cents

    The 270 is so yesterday as a hunting cartridge and doesn't have any of the great features of these two.

    The ability to go into dam near any place that sells ammo and pick up a box......because you realise to late you forgot to pack it
