Very nice, I have the poor man's version, the Extreme Hunter 308.

Does she kick much? The bare rifle must be only about 2.5kgs with the barrel chop done.

I have only shot it with handload 130ttsx @3000fps and all but one shot suppressed.
It is a pussycat to shoot especially suppressed, the stock shape and recoil pad do a great job.
Unsuppressed wasn't unpleasant recoil wise either but is pretty loud.

Unsure of bare weight but scoped and suppressed but no ammo in mag is.

Having said that I haven't tried shooting any heavy for cal in it yet but it's certainly no worse than Sakos I have owned that have weighed considerably more.

I think you can come to New Zealand on a visa with a visitor s firearm licence provided you find a sponsor and a place where you can securely store your gun. The visitor licence is only valid one year though, so you would have to fly out with the gun before one year, re apply for one and fly back in with the gun. A bit of a pain, but look into it and see what is doable.

Copy. Prolly easier to do all that there with 1 gun instead of 8. All good boys...I'll see you all at your secret hunting spots...I'll be the guy without a gun leaned up against a tree...quietly crying

My latest budget buy off here. Savage 116 I think it is. 7mm08-wanted a 308 though..... great mag- bolt is blardy slick running- what a great bush rifle this will make. And no- I will not be chopping it. On the lookout for a DPT or ASE can.
Trigger is primo as is- and I love the glock type 2 stage trigger- primo for Bush.

If anyone knows of a Savage 308 barrel stainless especially if it's fluted lmk!
