308 weatherby vanguard with a bell and carlson stock. its a older model and hasnt had that many rounds through it apparantly. burris signature select 3-12x44.

I'm quite proud of myself, i can shoot that but flinch like a bitch on a tikka 7-08. stock design and weight obviously play into that though.

My new girlfriend... Sako 85 Bavarian in 300 win mag with a leupold VX-R 4-12x50. A beautiful gun and shoots so well. Also attached my first few shots with her. Only my movement is causing the average group.

    Happy hunting

    Nice toys both of you.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

How do you find the trigger position on the Bavarian? I know a couple of people that have them and one of them bent the trigger a little further back to suit him.

yeh love it vc fits so nicely for me. Yeh high rings - got optilocks so she fits nice and snug.

Gillie - I havent had any issues with it at all. Love the set trigger on it.

Yeh love the sights, was shattered that they had no detachable mounts when I bought it because I wouldve loved being able to use them.

Good to hear. The set triggers are nice but my fathers, a mates and both my Sako 85s have just had the triggers adjusted to what we want without using the set trigger. They have a great trigger on them anyway. Nice bit of kit yours.

+1, to me a nice set of iron sights just finish off a rifle.
