Thread: Gunkote vs Cerakote?

Hey guys

Thinking about having my brno refinished, just for hardiness in the bush and to make it look brand spanking again, was going to reblue but then got thinking about coating it.

I see the two options are gunkote and cerakote, gunkote seems to be the cheaper option and is done by red dot firearms in Auckland and cerakote is by greystone in Chch(may be others), but which is better?

I have tried a search but not come up with many answers!

Basically does anyone know of the pros and cons of each and which would you recommend for a general purpose hunting rifle?
