    OK, thanks for the tip. Since a return date for Cobus seems unknown I rang Allen today. Might be meeting him mid November.

    Take a look inside your chamber the best you can with a good torch light, and see if there are any traces of rust.
    I had that happening before . Some very light polishing with fine steel wool wound up on a rod and gun oil took care of the problem.

    Jut a post update.
    Received a reply from Cobus yesterday saying he is unable to assist with gunsmithing currently due to being overseas for an extended period tending to serious matters. There was no mention of an expected date of return to NZ.
    I assume from that he expects to be out of the picture for a while.

    Arthur still is about - just has limited hours during the day - though when I was last there a few months back, no shortage of courier boxes in and out!!

    Hes always good for a call... very helpful.
