The worlds second greatest lockpick is a sledgehammer. An ali safe would be deformed enough to be opened in 2 or 3 blows I'm afraid. Good skills, but yeah nah

Should be strong enough to hold of a sledgy I recon, it's having a 50mm thick framed door with the 4mm wall thickness and the rebate on the inner framing is 6mm . The sledgy will bounce off but give it some serious dents which I will be super fucked off about if it ever happened lol . But yeah .
Even the locking support are going to be solid machined so everything is pretty dense . Mind you even the arms officer said they can still penetrate a 6mm steel sheet with an axe !! So it's all about the 10 minute rule .

I've seen a 5'9" Island guy pick up a 3sge toyota motor, walk across a car park, and dump it on the tray of our work ute, then walk off. It's kinda like the 1st rule of sales. Never assume the person you are selling to, has YOUR financial means/budget.

Re the axe vs wire, surely the round shape and the grade/tension had something to do with that? wire is a weird and ruthless thing.

Well, because you can't see YOU can't get into it, doesn't mean I won't get inside it in under 30 seconds with a hammer/pinch bar/your neighbour's skillie. Or your local fried burglar (average burglar has done ~150 before getting caught for the first time according to a stat I read somewhere, dunno if that's current though) who is much much stronger and willing to go to town having found your ali safe. We got robbed at work once, they went through a breezeblock wall with out setting the alarm off, then once the alarm was tripped they nicked approx 150 tyres before the alarm guys got there (9 mins allegedly). My boss said he wanted them found so he could hire them!

Yeah I've made a 6mm steel strongbox safe

About 1.8 tall with two compartments for ammo and pistols

External hinges with a plate welded so as to retain the door if anyone cut them off but it means that you can ditch about 50kg when moving by taking the door off
Weighs roughly 200 kg and is bolted down
    Twin Ross 5-lever mortice deadlocks

Steel is cheap at the moment

You could put some thin strips of bis alloy or hardox up the inside of it to defeat the skilsaw entry.
    Just an idea.

I did hear of a jail that had hollow bars with round HSS stock down the middle.
