    Leupold or Sig Sauer BDX

Hi guys, I need some advice on what scope to purchase. I'm after a new scope for my Howa M1500 Hogue 243. At this stage I have a few in mind:

Leupold Vx3i 3.5-10x40 CDS (good to have a custom dial)
Sig Sauer Sierra 3 BDX 3.5-10x42 (new product to be released in the next few weeks, gives an automatic holdover dot via bluetooth with Sig BDX Rangefinder)
    Leupold Vx-Freedom 4-12x40 Tri-Moa (has moa reticle)

I mainly shoot less than 400meters, averaging 100-250metres. I also initially looked at the Leupold Vx3i 4.5-14x40 CDS 1inch tube, however, it doesnt have any parallax adjustment.

Hoping to here any inputs. Thanks!

As Danny said, 3.5-10 Loopy. Dont even need dial turrets out to 400, sight your rifle in right, maybe 250 zero, then learn how to use it without dialing. Theres 1000's of us have been doing this for the past 40, 50, even 60 years and it has always worked.

Thanks for the replies. I’m trying to replace my Nikko Stirling Gameking 3-9x40 that came with my rifle.

Yes, usually around 100-250m with max 400m. If you think I don’t need the dial, do you think I should consider even 2 cheaper options: Leupold Vx-freedom 3-9x40 tri-moa ($450) or 4-12x40 tri-moa ($600), the reticle have 1moa increments. The Vx3i 3.5-10x40 Cds is priced at $900. I have been checking reviews of the Vx-freedom but I’m seeing only limited information from users so not sure about the performance of the vx-freedom. Thanks

Always, always, buy good glass! You will never regret paying for a good scope, it will be with you for life, rifles may come and go. If it was me I'd be looking at a stock standard VX3 as a minimum, no illumination, no need for dials. But you can fit a dial turret afterwards if thats what you would like. If I could stretch it I'd be looking at a Kahles, however thats wish list sort of stuff.

Our local hunting store in Wanganui, they’re now accepting pre-orders and I think they’ve sold out on the 6.5-20x on the first shipment. Look up Wilsons Hunting & Outdoors Wanganui.
