How old is she now? That would make a great 21st story. Especially if she is still keen on hunting.
14 next month. She is the world's biggest animal lover and wants to be a vet. Yet she is the first one packed and standing ready at the door when hunting is mentioned...357 in hand. She loves the outdoors and follows my every step out bush and is always by my side like my shadow no matter how tough the going... if she isn't in front that is..

I have started a new thread hunting with the family. Please add some stories/pics there if you have any to share. There must be plenty of great stories to be told...

If I could add a rifle to my lock up just because I want one... it would be a Marlin 1895 Dark 45/70 - alas that's a lot of money that I don't "need" to spend... one day though....

SAVAGE 99. in 243 and 358, Both stop deer and goats up close and fast or out to about 230mtr is the longest shot so far.
Only advantage to the 358 is that the low power lead rounds make a hole large enough to stop an animal quickly.
Full power gets to be hard work and destructive on smaller bodied reds etc.

Love my 3030 Marlin 336 TS with XS rail and Sig Romeo 4 reddot.
Only a 16inch barrel. Fits nicely in a lockable drawer in the truck.
Slim and short for the bush.
3030 doing what it was designed for.
170gr sierra flat points loaded with ADI 2206H.

I'm waiting (im)patiently for this to show up:
