OK Micky Duck, My 12 year olds 2" group. She has shot at 100y about a dozen times since she was 7, had one go at 300 y last year and this was her 2nd attempt at 500y, first group was a couple days earlier with 4 shots at 2.6inches. Tikka with a MAB? barrel, I modified a stock for her. yet to fit lower rings. chambered in 22-250AI at Trueflite. Originally this barrel was a 22-243 but was so hard to reload for and accuracy was hard to achieve. so abandoned after 40 rounds and rechambered. Thanks Trueflite.
It shooting Berger 80.5 fullbore target at 3260. load development was quick, loaded 12 rounds, second group of 3 shot all touching so I stopped there. Name: 241752824_556926652285580_6555475777757630729_n.jpg

So build no.2 under way. Something different - Stock for my Tikka long range set up. Stock blank cut. just over 800g and its an extended length stock. 48mm thick. Grain straight through the wrist... and before you freak out Im 80 Kg, next pick will show basic strength of the timber.

thats one hard case looking stock......that lass can shoot...80.5grn projectile...hmmm definately a fast twist barrel then.
pretty sure mine is 1;14 so the 60grn semi point is it for heavieness.
goes to show nothing wrong with 22-250 is given decent barrel
    thanks for reply.

Don't try this with your Mcmillan carbon stock, I'm not saying itl'd break... but if it did you'd hate me lol.

Stock shape is experimental, trying not to copy anyone. Yeah the 22:250Ai has a 1:8 twist

Size: 1.18 MB Ill get this down to 500g at least before carbon. Im not out to prove the same point as I did in the other build. this will be a long range hunter and range rifle so too light and I'll get recoil shy lol

Size: 1.03 MB Sorry been a bit slow guys, other things to take care of and back at work. Ill give it a good nudge on Monday when I have a day off. I just cut through with a drill press and then rasping it out. Ill get on the dye grinder when I get a bit closer to finished mag well size.
