This thread seems a bit old now, which is a shame because I just joined the club and got a SS Model 7 in .260. I’ve been after one since I first laid eyes on a mates 308 almost 30 years ago. Finally found one at a time where I was able to afford it. It came with a Vortex 4-12 scope in Talley rings which I’ve swapped out for a Leupold VX1 3-9 as the Vortex is quite a big scope on a compact rifle. Th main plan with it will be to get my boy behind it. I have a Browning .270 but the stock is just too long for him. It’s threaded already so I will get a suppressor in the new year just to take any recoil out of it but I find it pretty soft shooting already.
Once I’ve got a bit more cash I will get a carbon stock, Swarovski z5 2-10.
Does anyone have recommendation for aftermarket stocks for these mighty little bang sticks?

Would you mind sharing a pic or 2 of your SS? Love the look of the SS stocks on stainless rifles.

This is with a Vortex 4-12x44.

Great thread to stumble into.. My model 7 XCR. Fairly uncommon in NZ but one of the greats. Factory SS, Fluted with a slightly heavier profile barrel than others.

Carbon Senator Stock and couple of bolt mods are the only other changes.
