I just got a dud. Lots of others I am sure are OK. I bought mine new. First new 22 for many many moons. Bought as a bd present for me. Whole thing was a great disappointment.
It was the Varmint model with the much better American style stock instead of the hog back.

If possible try before buying.

Highly regard the 452s.

ok got offered a mint early model brno 2 mk2 no2 whatever they call them it looks brand new bar a couple of hard to see handling marks got all its original sights and its original sling would 800 sound about right

Model 2s - pre 1967 good, 1967 on onward, for quite a few years, not so good.
67 was when the Model 2 transitioned from BRNO manufacture to CZ and for several years there was a big drop off in quality.
A bit of a mixed bag after 67 as some rifles were assembled using parts made by BRNO whilst some bits were CZ manufacture.
CZ eventually got it right.

Yep. Model 2 (ZKM 452) came out in 1954.

To put your 800 into perspective there's a nice CZ 2e on trademe about to close with no bids, opening at 75, buy now 799. I think that inludes a scope. Even the GS robbers have a listing at 799 again with scope.

thats nice i see its missing the sights the one i looked at had its sights even still had the hood the fore end didnt have that different shape that yours has forget the name. It had a normal fore end

I'll post pics of my other one, it's better than this one, I have a hood and rear sight, but you need them off for a scope
