i have always looked at it the other way . . . ' why wouldnt you put a great scope on a rimfire '
first thing i do with a new scope is bolt it on my most accurate .22lr and test the hell out of it . . . i fire hundreds of shots going up & down the elevation, changing power and focus lookn for trouble, if it passes that test it goes on a centerfire.
That is the single best thing I have read on the interweb for a very long time, thanks for sharing the idea. I'm going to put it into practice right away.
