What caused the thread to strip? Was it a muzzle forward suppressor? Just like any threads if your not careful screwing them on and cross thread it.....

The new gunworks suppressor, Hardy and a few other brands are alloy where the rifle threads on. This is the first suppressor I have heard to strip the thread.

My first range of over barrel suppressors had an aluminium muzzle brake and stainless baffles, 2.5 years ago I changed to a slightly different model that was all stainless internals, 1 year ago I released the modular suppressors that are 100% aluminium, a very strong grade of aluminium.

I assume your friend has one of the first models...
He should have got hold of me with any issues so I could identify what the problem was.
