Swarovski Z5 BT turret alignment issue

Anyone out there with a Swarovski Z5 BT scope that can help me out.

There seems to be a bit of movement in the ballistic turret. I have searched images online and it seems there is little to no gap between the base of the turret and the reference for on the scope. My scope BT seems to be set off from the bottom and at a slight angle which doesn't seem right and causes the BT to not be as upright and firm as i would expect for a scope of this quality.

What have I missed? I know that the coloured dots aren't set up yet, but i feel I've missed something.

I’ve had this issue and can’t remember 100% how I fixed it but try taking the colour rings off and making sure the turret cap thing that the rings fit on is pushed on tight. It’s the part you move back round to zero once you’ve sighted in and is a push fit hope that makes sense

There are some wee bits that dont show in an exploded diagram inside the main body piece that could be mis-aligned but most likely it will be the little tooth on the bottom ring out of position. Strip the rings and have a look

I think it should look at little better than that, Kimber. I have a Z5 here if you want to take a look at it.

I'm wondering whether you might have not got that first cap on correctly? When you take to the top plug off, then remove the the rings, there is another cap to remove so you can get to the initial adjustment. It that all square?

Perhaps it isn’t together properly on the inside? There are quite a few complicated little pieces that make it all go together.

Will be looking at it this evening while there is daylight. Most likely something simple, just don't want to force the issue with the thing. Best to ask questions rather than damage something.

Ok, quick update. Think it maybe sorted. Been in contact with JP at Swarovski in Auckland and he's been very responsive and helpful with my BT alignment issue. Planenutz has also helped me with my problem.

Seem to have it aligned now after the BT was stripped down following advice from JP.

Pictures of the stripped BT for those that are curious:
