Seems weird that they don't . Steve Rinella being left handed is probably the reason Weatherby do their special in left hand https://weatherbyfirearms.com/weathe...y-magnum-26in/

Go and speak to whoever is running the gun department at H&F (pity Craig isn’t there anymore, he was awesome, brought my rifle in for me and beat all other retailers price)
See if they can get the agent to bring in one of these with their next shipment for you.

Interesting review. Seems OK, but I'd expect better for the kind of money they will want for it.

    Or build your own:

    New barrelled action:
    https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/hun...3751976628.htm

Chuck it in a 520g hi-tech mini stock:
    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...46813905526772

and you still have $1500 left over to accessorise (cerakote, chop and suppress, scope and mounts etc.)

Look at the new Tikka Bush Hunter - NZ specific run of only 400 units. All pre sold to stores.

    16” Barrel
    Fluted
    Threaded
    Over sized bolt know

Standard stock. Can buy with a Suppressor, rings and 2.5-10 scopes for $2699.

Based on the "Superlite" format, which interestingly are no lighter than the "Lite" models. Barrel chop will save some weight, but it would be good to hear how much. Could slap a carbon stock on it and job done. How much weight does a carbon stock save?

A Hi-tec hunter weighs 675g not sure what a standard tikka stock weighs about 850g according to Google

I don’t even no what to say about this rifle frankly disappointing 4 inches of flutting a big ugly bolt and the balance of a boat anchor pick your socks up sako-tikka/beretta it’d better be cheaper than a standard t3 because they have essentially done a factory butchered number

It's all factory done. Just shorter, fluted barrel and threading. You can just unscrew the bolt knob and have it standard if you don't like it. Comes in at same price as any other Tikka that is factory fluted and factory threaded so +$200 from the standard T3X.
I can't speak for other stores but we get a lot of customers wanting 16" 308s so it's a good idea to get it all done factory to get that good Tikka guarantee.

If you can find an alpine mountain rifle they are fully cerakoted, so no, perfect for our conditions

And come in at around your desired weight, less if you chop to 16/18”

Why did they stop making these! It was what I was looking for when I brought the Kimber. Them seemed perfect.
