I’m guessing any Toyota with this style controls would have the same sequence.

Tried to edit and original post buggered off.

So I’ve got a 2007 Toyota Auris/Corolla. When I start it up it defaults to ac on, and in recirc. Any clever buggers know the sequence to change the default setting to either fresh ac off, or the last setting when it was turned off. Tried google, but my tech retardation isn’t giving me the right answers. Hoping its just click this, hit that, touch this twice and it’s done. Or off to the stealer I go.

It maybe so the AC gets a run every time you start it, they need it.
I’ll do some research and let you know if I find something.

Need to scan for codes in the ac system.
Possibly faulty exterior or interior temp sensors.
Could be an open circuit in either making ac ecu think it neds to be on in full cold blast mode.

I found on an Auris forum somewhere that it is a factory default, but can be reprogrammed to fresh or last setting.
    Be good if they could
