I have just read that with no tourists this year the road toll is virtually unchanged. Shit, who are we going to blame now?

Highway must have picked up bad decisions from tourist drivers, we all live and learn.

Most speedos are set back by a few km's anyways , another reason why i like upsizing tyres especially on diesel vehicles! If you do a heap of k's annually thats a fair wack of RUC's that you are paying for but not using

As well as the tail gater's there are some really hyped up speed merchants out there who think they're great drivers but aren't. Ask any long distance truck driver about them.

We have some of the worst drivers in the western world. They get behind a driving wheel and their whole personality changes from being a considerate and decent Kiwi into a ego maniac, lunatic with a death wish.

So with the 5 to 10% as a given for speedo inaccuracy where is the space on the form to get a refund for the RUC fees i have paid over the course of the 100,000 km I drove my diesel truck ( that would be 10000Km in revenue not driven)

People are confusing speedometers with odometers. Two different animals with different accuracies.

I’m glad somebody pointed that out, I was on the verge of asking if anybody with a ‘fast’ speedo had ever checked their odo for accuracy.
